               Sikkim Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd. (SIDICO) set up in ther year 1977 is a state level principal financial institution engaged in promotion, financing and development of industries in tiny, cottage, Hotels, Small and medium sector in the State of Sikkim. Besides, the corporation has also been providing soft loan/seed capital assistance and participating in the share capital in its selective venture projects.

                Financial assistance is made available by the corporation for fixed assets such as land, building, land and machinery etc., with an ultimate objective of setting up of industries in the State. Since the corporation was facing financial crises, during the year 1995-96, it was restructured and all the liabilities on account of refinance availed from IDBI/SIDBI were settled. During the last five years (i.e.) from 1995-96 to 1999-2000, the corporation sanctioned loan amounting to Rs. 10.35 crores to 2147 beneficiaries and the recovery for the same period was Rs. 12.66 crores which itself was a record.
